Mr. Fiesta Contest returns!

The 2nd Annual Mr. Fiesta contest is set for Friday night May 5 at 7pm on the main stage in the Bank of the Southwest parking lot in downtown Truth or Consequences.

Anyone wishing to compete for this year’s “Mr. Fiesta” competition should submit applications as early as possible, as the field may fill quickly. The event is emceed by Dr. Lucky and raises money for Miss Fiesta scholarships.

Rules / General Info

  • Anyone 16 or older can enter
  • Contestants must fill out an application (coming soon) and submit it to a Fiesta Board Member before May 1st
  • The contest is free to enter, but it is a fundraiser, so…
  • …each contestant is charged with the task of raising money (up to $500) prior to the main event
  • Contestants will appear on stage (between musical performaces) in formal attire — prom dresses are encouraged — and dance to a song of their choice
  • The contestant who raises the most money before the contest is over wins. No contestant can bring more than $500 worth of pledges before 7:00 pm. All monies will be counted in hand prior to the close of the contest.
  • The winner will receive a sash, tiara, and bragging rights.

TorC Brewing Company will have a cordoned off beer garden present at the location. There will also be food and other vendors. The event is family-friendly.
