The community of Truth or Consequences is preparing to celebrate a historic milestone as the 76th Annual Truth or Consequences Fiesta returns May 1–3, 2026. This year’s celebration marks the nations semiseptcentennial and will feature the patriotic theme “Red, White, & Blue.” The three-day festival will bring residents and visitors together in historic downtown TorC for a weekend full of live entertainment, family-friendly activities, competitions, and classic Fiesta traditions. The kick off event will be the annual Miss Fiesta Pageant on Friday, April 24th, at 5pm at Ralph Edwards Auditorium.
The Fiesta Mainstage will once again be located at the Bank of the Southwest parking lot, featuring FREE live music, entertainment, and a street dance throughout the weekend. Festivities kick off Friday evening and continue through Saturday night with performances, local vendors, food trucks, and the T or C Brewery Beer Garden creating a lively downtown atmosphere for all ages.
Free live music all weekend long beginning on Friday with Tif and Mollie, Syd Masters and the Swing Riders, and closing out with Tequila Nights. Saturday features both the HS/MS band and choir performances, Burt Ferguson and the Sierra County line, the Creosote Ramblers, Pint & a Half, Dezert Penguinz, and our headliner, Spanish Broom Flamenco Dancers.
Saturday begins with The Collaborative’s Color Run at 8am, starting at Tractor Supply. The beloved Fiesta Parade will follow at 10 a.m., with lineup beginning at 8 a.m. Decorated floats, vehicles, and community groups are invited to participate, all celebrating this year’s patriotic Red, White, & Blue theme with awards presented to standout entries. The Sheriff’s Posse Freedom Rodeo begins at 1pm on Saturday and continues into the evening with a country western dance to Tudy and the Silver Bullet band and cash bar by Caballo Tavern.
Don’t miss a special evening of prayer and worship with Steve Stucker on Saturday, May 2, from 6:00–8:00 PM at the Ralph Edwards Auditorium, with free admission for all. Returning after his role as 2025 Grand Marshal, Stucker will be joined by Rebecca Dow, local churches, and ministry partners for a community-wide celebration of faith.
Throughout the weekend, visitors can enjoy an exciting lineup of events including the 2nd annual Desert Glow Fest, the Sierra County Sheriff’s Posse Freedom Rodeo and Dance, and numerous sporting tournaments such as basketball, volleyball, cornhole, and skateboarding. Families can also explore the Kids Carnival and activities at Healing Waters Plaza, browse local vendors and food trucks, and take part in unique Fiesta traditions like the Junk Boat Races, Duck Races, and the Kids Fishing Derby at Ralph Edwards Park.
Sunday festivities continue with the popular NHS Waffle Bar, by Santana Garcia and the Date Street Trio on the mainstage, followed by a songwriter/story teller event during the TorC Film Fiesta at El Cortez Theater. With three full days of entertainment, community events, and New Mexico hospitality, Fiesta 2026 promises something for everyone.
